The main aim of the program is to bring out Junior Technical Assistants (JTA) in the field of Agriculture (plant science). It provides services to the people as a demand of the country.

Objectives

The objectives of this course are as follows:

to provide large field-based experiences to meet the specific and growing needs of different agriculture and horticulture stakeholders.
to provide technical knowledge and skills in different aspects of agriculture, horticulture and plant protection with community development and entrepreneurship.
to produce quality human resources to provide technical and managerial services in the public and private agriculture sectors.
to develop competency in agriculture-related enterprises.

Course Duration

This course will be completed within 18 months (40 hrs./week X 39 weeks a year = 1560 hrs.) class plus 6 months (40 hrs./week X 24 weeks = 960 hrs.) on-the-job training (OJT).
